Lotus Blossom - not Gate FoldI just love this stamp set!  And what’s even better is that you can get it free! For every $50 you spend between now and March 31, 2015, you can select a product from the Sale-a-bration brochure.  My first choice was this stamp set, but there are many other choices.  You may want to plan a shopping spree so you can get more free stuff.

I posted a similar card Lotus Blossom Gate Fold 1-17-15 for the CPC43 challenge.  I loved the card, but the gate fold required smaller elements.  The standard fold allowed me to make a larger bookmark with the Scallop Tag Topper punch and also show a tricky way to cut the Fun Frames element.  I think it makes for an easier card.

In the video below, I show a way to allow the bookmark to be easily removed.  That idea came from Pat, one of my creative customers.  Thanks Pat!

Domed Pedestal Floral Bouquet & Card SPIt’s my day over at Craft Project Central.  You can’t see much in this “sneak peek” photo, but I was very proud of this project. My sister’s birthday is coming up soon and she is a very special woman.  I think this is a very fitting tribute to her.  It is a flower bouquet is enthroned on a glimmering pedestal and protected under a shiny clear dome. Flowers in Wisteria Wonder, So Saffron, and Blushing Bride are tied around their stems with silky Wisteria Wonder Seam Binding. There is also a coordinating card.  They look difficult, but they really aren’t.

My coordinating card is dedicated to my sister, but could also be a fitting tribute to your lovely mother or other special woman in your life.  If you would like directions to make your own tribute, subscribe to Craft Project Central and get not only the directions for this project, but also the other 10 projects for this month.
