Give the gift of an orchid. The salted background provides a lovely texture on the glossy card stock. You can multiple cards without having to carefully position the stamps and Framelits each time. I’ll show you how.

If you don’t already have a demonstrator and you would like a catalog, email me with your address and I’ll get on in the mail for you. You can purchase products from this catalog starting September 1, 2017

As demonstrators, we get to see the new catalogs and buy the new products early. It’s another wonderful catalog! If you would like to get your hands on the new products now, join my team.  You can pay $99 for $125 of the new products plus some business supplies and free shipping. They’ll be on your doorstep before you know it. You’ll continue to save 20% or more on more Stampin’ Up! products, plus have access to an exclusive website with lots of ideas.  There’s nothing to lose and lots to gain. Find out more.

I have been hard at work preparing all my labels and case inserts for the new products.

Here are all the labels, etc. in one place. I’ll be adding them to their respective pages as well.

Are you like me and you seem to have lots of cards but none just right the card you want to send? Or maybe you like to swap card fronts to have lots of inspiration, but the stack is growing and you need to clear out some of them? Or maybe your goal is card making, but your room is filled with cards and you need room for more stamps? It’s time to send cards!

First of all, keep track of your friends’ birthdays and other important events. Add them as recurring events on the calendar on your phone or computer (and add the addresses to make life even easier for yourself) or use the calendar I shared earlier this year.

Just Added 8/20/17 2018 Pocket Calendar

Next, redesign the cards and card fronts you have. You can even reuse cards others have sent to you! This video shows several ways to re-purpose your cards. Get those cards in the mail!

I hope you didn’t lose your coupon you earned in July with the Bonus Days promotion…

It’s time to shop now!

You can use that coupon for anything, but you may want to choose Carols of Christmas. It will be in the 2017 holiday catalog, but you can order it now.

I took a box of supplies on our camping trip to the eastern Sierras. I could have made a dozen different cards with the supplies I brought. I think it’s fun to stamp on the go… unless it gets windy! I made this card for my friend Martha who has a birthday the day this posted.

Make your own Basic Tool Kit to go

I don’t have room to start stamping! This link shows how I’ve packed a card base and layers of every color of card stock, the tool kit, blocks, the Basic Tool Kit, a few stamp sets and 20 stamp pads into just two small boxes. It also has the cutting plan to get a card base, a large layer, and two small layers from a sheet of card stock.

When my husband returned to our campsite after fishing, he took this picture of my camp stamp studio. He thought it was funny to see the hatchet there close at hand. No cards were actually harmed by the hatchet. And yes, my little box is nice and organized, but as soon as I start working I have stuff all over the table.

I love cards that look difficult but really are not. This “Z-Fold” card is just a standard half sheet of card stock folded in half and then one side is folded a second time. The Old Olive and Whisper White strips are folded the exact same way, but reversed when you add it to the card base. The result is impressive!

The stamp set can be found inside the back cover of the 2017-2018 annual catalog. That spot is reserved for the Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) stamp set. Each year, Stampin’ Up! offers a special stamp set. You help RMHC when you buy this set because Stampin’ Up! will donate $3 (US) for each set sold. Stampin’ Up! and demonstrators also give time, money (over $1.5 million), and cards to this organization that provides a place for families to be surrounded by love when their children are receiving medical treatments far from home.

Don’t buy the Everyday Jars Framelits just for this card. It’s not difficult to “fussy cut” the jar and the lid. But the Framelits also coordinate with the Jar of Love stamp set. I think you may want to buy all three, so I’m including Jar of Love in the links even though it wasn’t used in this card.

For the month of August, you can purchase the Carols of Christmas Stamp Set, Card Front Builder Framelits Dies, or both in a bundle (and save 10%) a month before it is even released in the holiday catalog.

I have ordered those holiday catalogs to be delivered to all who have shopped my online store in the past year. They are expected to be shipped August 8th. They are shipped by a separate company, so they may take a bit longer than the usual speedy shipments directly from Stampin’ Up! If you don’t get yours by the end of August, please let me know. I’ll be sure to get one to you. And if you order now, I’ll send one to you as soon as mine arrive here.
