I’ve seen quite a few of these cards and I really wanted to try one. My friend Jeanne showed me how and they are not nearly as complicated as they look. I used Just Add Text for the greeting, the gorgeous Layered Leaves Textured Impressions Embossing Folder for the background, and Flower Shop for the images. I was really pleased with the color combination as well: Dapper Denim, Pear Pizzazz, and So Saffron. Don’t wait as long as I did to try this layout!

What a pretty card, if I do say myself. You’ll say that too when you make it. It’s easy! And don’t you just love the colors? I used three of the 2017-2019 In Colors: Tranquil Tide, Berry Burst, and Powder Pink.

I posted a similar card a while ago. You can learn more about that card here.

OnStage is a Stampin’ Up! convention where we see new products and get inspired with new techniques. It’s very exciting! And it’s also so very fun to see demonstrators we’ve met at previous events. And we also trade cards (or just card fronts) and other projects and those are called Swaps. I’m using these as my “Swaps” for OnStage Local in San Diego. I thought it would be fun to have the dragonfly fluttering in front of these dreamy and serene backgrounds. I think you would enjoy making this card too.

And if a Stampin’ Up! event sounds fun, and if you like saving money and learning and getting your hands on new products before they’re available, click here to find out how. What do you have to lose? There’s no obligation to sell and there’s no long-term commitment. You get free products too! Join my team!

I thought Special Reason was just another stamp set with flowers until I saw what it can do, especially when combined with the coordinating Stylish Stems Framelits. Wowser! You really just have to watch the video. You will want these products as much as I did!

I totally fell for this stamp set as soon as I saw the catalog. What’s not to love? I was so excited I posted this sample as soon as I got my pre-order. I just couldn’t wait. It was one of the first cards I shared with my stamping group. I also loved the Watercolor Pencils. I literally cheered out loud when I saw them.

I absolutely love this stamp set! You can’t buy it, but you can get it free with a $50 order between now and March 31, 2017. It’s Sale-a-Bration! Whoo-hoo!

I was going to make this card with my monthly group, but decided against it. We need to do a project for Valentine’s Day instead.

I think this card would be great to invite a friend over, to cheer someone up, wish them happy birthday, or to say Congratulations. I’m not sure I love the colors in this card, but I do love the chick dancing behind the chicken wire! I had seen the chicken wire on Pinterest, and after unsuccessful searches, I finally realized how it was done. It’s the new Hexagon Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing folder! I used it “off label” with Stazon ink on Window Sheet so my chick would stay behind the wire. I also wanted my chick to stay upright in this shaker card. I think you’ll have to watch the video to see how that’s done. 🙂

Then I want you to send me pictures of your chicken dance card.

I mentioned in the video a clever hint to tie a ribbon around the roll of Glue Dots. I couldn’t remember who shared that tip. Karen and Judy both reminded me it was Connie Stewart. I love Connie’s videos and tips. I’m so glad to be able to give her credit.
