The Eclipse Technique has been very popular lately. I don’t know who came up with it, but I think it looks great. The Amazing You stamp set and Celebrate You Thinlets work great together for this project. I think Eclipse cards look best when those centers from the letters are put in their right places. The hardest part is not losing those tiny pieces.

I totally planned to post this video before Sale-a-Bration ended. Perhaps you were able to get them (free) and can make this card. If not, I’m sorry that you cannot order Amazing You now. I do have a list of other stamps sets you could use instead. You also can’t order the Celebrate You Thinlits right now, but they will be in the annual catalog on June 1st. I have a few other dies that you might consider until then.

(I also used “Fun Foam” usually found with kids’ craft supplies.)

Here are a few other stamp sets that would look great with this card.

And here are some word dies that could work as well.

Welcome, Sweet Pea (or Fishy Smiles)The Circle Card Thinlits make flip cards quick and easy. I used the Friends & Flowers stamp set for the images, punched them out with the Festive Flower punch, and the card was practically done!

Here are the complete directions for both versions

Gift Box Punch Board The products from the new Holiday 2014 catalog are here!

This lovely box was made with the Gift Box Punch Board and went together really quickly.  The punch board makes boxes that don’t need any adhesive. The punch board shows 3 sizes of boxes that can be made with 8″ x 8″ card stock.  The video below shows a fourth size box that can also be made with the same size card stock.  These boxes are quite elegant, if I do say so myself.

I decided to demonstrate these boxes at my September Paper Play Day.  Click below for the supply list and directions.

In this video I show how to make an extra size box not shown on the printed chart.  I have a new chart with lots of extra sizes you can make.  Here’s a preview, but the pdf file shows not only the 15 sizes, but an extra 13 for a grand total of 28 boxes you can make with this punch board.

Click here for the full chart. And March 17, 2016 I added a video to explain the footnotes.

Getting Started Sample – Thinking of you 1

You're Lovely 3-8-14This card has an easy, but fancy fold.  It’s really just the basic 4 1/4″ x 11″ card, but scored at 2 3/4″ from each end so the card opens out like a gate…  a gate-fold card.  The Sahara Sand layer is attached only on the left side and the Crisp Cantaloupe frame is only attached on the right side.  When closed, they buckle together.
