The Country Home stamp set gives me such a feeling of peace and home… at least the country home I wish I’d had. I confess I grew up in the suburbs of Los Angeles and you’d have to look hard for country life there. A girl can dream, can’t she?

This card is basically a variation on the “Joy Fold” layout. It’s kind of a Z-Fold Joy Fold mash up. I’ve added an extra fold and turned it on its side. I don’t think I’ve ever even seen a card quite like it, much less made one. I like it! It’s quite easy. I really do wish I had more of those delightful Galvanized Buttons. I was fresh out, so I made do by making a paper button from the Galvanized Paper. I’ve listed both in the products links. If you order the buttons, you won’t need the Galvanized paper or any of the punches.

My goal is to show at least one project each month that does not need the Big Shot or any expensive tools. This is that project. You could even substitute bits of cotton glued on to save a bit more money. You can do this project!

I didn’t even need to see what was inside to know I wanted this tin! But what is inside is just as wonderful! You get 6 stamps that will get you most any event: hello, Thanks, Thinking of you, Happy birthday friend, Congratulations rock star, and Best wishes. You get a clear block, two Stampin’ Spots (Night of Navy and Grapefruit Grove) and a coordinating punch. You will want to add paper, adhesive, and perhaps an embellishment and you will have a complete kit and it will all fit in that beautiful tin!

You can make a wreath with the Stamparatus. There are directions out there to make a template for your Stamparatus, but if you have two small stamps, you don’t need anything but a scrap of copy paper.

I wish you could see the shine on this card! The Frosted Floral Designer Series Paper has a lovely sheen and I colored all the flowers with the Glittery Wink of Stella Glitter Brush. So pretty!

The watercolor technique is perfect with the Touches of Texture stamp set. I used the colors in the Garden Impressions Designer Series Paper. I think this card would work for just about any event and the sentiments in Another Wonderful year give you lots of options.

I designed this card with the new stamper in mind, but I couldn’t help myself. I had to add a bit more texture with the Subtle Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing folder. The pattern is so subtle, it’s difficult to photograph. Stampin’ Up! used to sell plain and textured card stock and this folder adds a similar texture. Of course, using the embossing folder means you will need a Big Shot, something the new stamper may not own. You could certainly use Watercolor Paper instead of the regular Whisper White Card Stock I used. That would give you the texture without the Big Shot.

I think Rooted in Nature is one of my favorite stamp sets in the 2018-2019 catalog. It has all the qualities of the beloved Lovely as a Tree with the added benefits of coordinating Framelits. It’s great for masculine cards. It can be used for Christmas and really any season. I shared a similar card a while ago, but hadn’t made a video. I made it at my in-house SIP Together, so it was time to make the video.

What will you fill your jar with? I filled it with a little bouquet of yellow and coral flowers. This card stands up on its own, a fancy fold with just one extra crease. So easy! The Stamparatus saves a lot of card stock and time. I show you how in the video.
