basket-of-wishes-thanks

I love the color combination! I admit though that I struggled when designing this one. I thought I knew what I wanted. I wanted to do a border with the pumpkins. I wanted to use Banner Blessings. I grabbed my Taggers to find the shape and sized layer I wanted. I wanted I wanted gold and sparkles. I wanted this color combination.

I started with a Pear Pizzazz card base and it just wasn’t right. Maybe some texture would help, so I used the Woodgrain Textured Impressions embossing folder and it was a lot better. I removed the gold and it still wasn’t right. I tried switching the card base to Elegant Eggplant, and it just made all the difference for this card!

And I did use the pumpkins for a border. It’s hidden inside.

Banner Blessings was available and on sale for half price when I recorded the video. It’s only while supplies last. It’s one of those Secret Stamp Sets. If it’s gone, don’t despair. Use one of the greetings in Basket of Wishes, the thanks from Jar of Love (#141587), Thankful Thoughts (Wood #141519  or Clear #141522) or another set you may already own.

New catalog time!  Whoo hoo!!!

Holiday Catalog

There are so many things I put on my wish list! I wish I could buy everything in this catalog! Stampin’ Up! has helped us buy more by including 15 bundles! Yay!

If you share my Evernote Current Products notebook, you’ll be happy to know I have all the new products added with the images. I don’t seem to have access to the stamp images in German, but they’re there for French stamps. I think Therese is busy translating the contents for the French stamps. I’d love a volunteer to translate the stamp contents into German.

Also, I have prepared the labels and stamp case slips for the new catalog and they are all posted. I have created the case inserts and just added the images.  As soon as I finish this post I’ll upload those as well.

If you don’t have a catalog, there is a link to the online version posted on the right.

Here are just a few of my favorite things.Built for Free Using: My Stampin Blog

What are some of your favorites?
Some of my favorites are loved by others as well. There is concern that some items may go on backorder (again!). I’m sure Stampin’ Up! expects every product to be loved by all of us, and they try to have plenty ready to ship to us. But they also don’t want inventory sitting in the warehouse. I can’t imagine how they can avoid backorders, but they are trying. There is a new warning on the back cover: Product availability may be limited towards the end of the catalog sales period. Don’t wait to wait too long to put in your order.

For All Things Thank YouI love this quick card for Thanksgiving or just a thank you card!  Though I used a Big Shot to cut out the leaves, you could certainly make this card just by stamping the leaf with the three colors.  You could also stamp them on scrap paper and cut them out.

Flash Card – French Foliage Autumn Accents Leaf Another card based on Connie Stewart’s Flash Card.  I’ve arranged the template pieces in a different way.  Can you see the leaf pattern with the Illuminate Watermark pad.  The leaf practically looks real.  You may be surprised that it was cut from the Very Vanilla layer.  You could make the one on the left without a Big Shot by cutting out the leaf by hand.  The “stepped up” version uses an Edgelit and an embossing folder.

Truly Grateful Card

Truly Grateful Card 10-12-13

When I saw this stamp set knew I needed it!  I love the Early Espresso and gold foil and embossing powder.  It’s a fancy fold, but it still fits in a standard envelope.  The Core-dination card stock looks great with a little sanding on the wood grain embossing folder.  I love the way it turned out!

Envelope Punch Board Gift Card Holder & Envelope

Envelope Punch Board Gift Card Holder & Envelope 9-14-13

I love the Envelope Punch Board!  Sure, it makes at least 63 sized of envelopes.  But it also makes boxes of all sizes, snowmen, and gift card holders.  When you open this one up the gift card starts to life out of its pocket.  It’s become one of the tools that rate a “close at hand” place in my craft corner.

Thank you, Jackie Topa, for the idea!
