This card is so quick and easy! The Happy Birthday Thinlit does all the work for you! I used the Foil Frenzy Specialty Designer Series Paper with just a peek of the Lemon Lime Twist card stock. I added a bit of interest with the Softly Falling Embossing Folder and then the gorgeous Basic Black ⅜” Shimmer Ribbon finished it off.

I also shared a way of labeling Washi Tape. If you haven’t noticed, I love having the product name, item number, page number, and coordinating colors (or products) on everything. My little labels seemed to fall off the Washi Tape. I’ve been hanging my Washi Tape on a chain… some people use large library rings. Suddenly it occurred to me that I could add a label to the chain. Problem solved!

17-18 Washi Labels

Here’s fun fold that can be used vertically or horizontally, and it uses double heat embossing for the watercolor resist technique.

The shutter card is one of those fancy fold cards that look really complicated. It’s not really. It goes together really easy.

I recorded this video in early May and hoped to post it while you could still get the products. I was overjoyed that Cool Treats and Frozen Treats Framelits are in the new catalog. I am providing the directions as originally designed and with products you can currently order.

The new stamping year begins today. You can now order from the 2017-2018 catalog and there are some very exciting products.

One product I think will need some explanation is called “You Move Me.” It is very different from anything I’ve ever seen. You can find these products on page 170. I saw the catalog before I saw the video and I was not impressed. A few of the images are great and I could imagine using them on a card. I didn’t really appreciate the striped hummingbird, but I really didn’t like the striped butterflies… that is, until I saw them in action. I have not been able to get my hands on this product yet, so I thought I’d share the video from Stampin’ Up!

This post is coming out on the day the catalog goes live. I have already posted a few my labels and other organizational tools. Today I can finally finish them up and post them. By the end of the day tomorrow you should be able to click these links and find everything you need.

Make this card with any color. I used Blushing Bride with the coordinating Glimmer Paper and Baker’s Twine. But you could switch to one of the metallic or Dazzling Diamond Glimmer Papers and use absolutely any color. I show how to make a custom tassel. I made them as a child. They are not difficult.

Don’t you just love the colors on this card? I used three of the new In Colors that will be available June 1st when the new 2017-2018 Stampin’ Up! annual catalog goes live. I also used the Label Me Pretty bundle which includes the stamp set and a wonderful new label punch. I admit sponging the flowers from the Floral Phrases stamp set took a bit of extra time, but the rest of the card is very quick and easy. You could always just stamp with just one color to make it easier.

These are the “Swaps” I’m taking to a local event with other demonstrators. Let me know what you think.
