The0511161319_resized Gift Bag Punch Board directions included in the box were confusing to me. I did what I do. I figured it out and made it simple.

Gift Bag Punch Board Cheat Sheet

A small bag starts with paper 10″ wide and the finished bag will be about 2 1/4″ wide.

A medium bag starts with paper 11″ wide and will be about 3″ wide.

A large bag starts with paper 12″ wide and will be about 3 5/8″ wide.

All the bags will be about 2″ front to back.

You can make the height anywhere from 2 3/4″ (starting with 4″) to 10 3/4″ (starting with 12″).

For example, the smallest bag will start with 10″ x 4″ paper and the bag will be 2 1/4″ by 2″ and 2 3/4″ tall.

The largest bag will start with 12″ x 12″ paper with a finished size 3 5/8″ by 2″ and 10 3/4″ tall.

Perhaps you’ve seen my Gift Box or the chart on Pinterest. It’s one of my most popular pins. But it can be confusing! I mean, I didn’t even put a title on the chart or add my email or website. My reader Chandra was totally confused by this footnote:

*1 Slide until corner of the square made by overlapping score lines is at any diagonal, then score to diagonal corner.

What? It made sense to me at the time but it’s gobbletygook even to me now. So I made a video trying to explain each footnote. They may just be more gobbletygook with lots of repeats.

Chandra, let me know if I’ve answered your question.

Strawberry basketI was so excited about making the strawberries, I had to show you immediately.  But here is the basket to hold those lovely berries.  We have strawberry fields all around, here in Ventura County in southern California.  And our groundcover in our yard is ornamental strawberries, so I see little white flowers just like this every spring.  Just makes me smile.

Get the free directions for the berry basket here.   See the video to make the berries here.

Gift Box Punch Board The products from the new Holiday 2014 catalog are here!

This lovely box was made with the Gift Box Punch Board and went together really quickly.  The punch board makes boxes that don’t need any adhesive. The punch board shows 3 sizes of boxes that can be made with 8″ x 8″ card stock.  The video below shows a fourth size box that can also be made with the same size card stock.  These boxes are quite elegant, if I do say so myself.

I decided to demonstrate these boxes at my September Paper Play Day.  Click below for the supply list and directions.

Click here for the full chart. And March 17, 2016 I added a video to explain the footnotes.
