As soon as I saw this stamp set, I knew I needed it for my granddaughter’s birthday. I’m not sure the sparkle shows up on film. There is sparkle on the Balmy Blue layer and on the fairy’s wings and the flowers, as well as the Sparkle Glimmer Paper layer. It’s really quite easy,, designed for a beginner stamper. All it takes is pixie dust and a few supplies from Stampin’ Up!

The watercolor technique is perfect with the Touches of Texture stamp set. I used the colors in the Garden Impressions Designer Series Paper. I think this card would work for just about any event and the sentiments in Another Wonderful year give you lots of options.

I designed this card with the new stamper in mind, but I couldn’t help myself. I had to add a bit more texture with the Subtle Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing folder. The pattern is so subtle, it’s difficult to photograph. Stampin’ Up! used to sell plain and textured card stock and this folder adds a similar texture. Of course, using the embossing folder means you will need a Big Shot, something the new stamper may not own. You could certainly use Watercolor Paper instead of the regular Whisper White Card Stock I used. That would give you the texture without the Big Shot.

Our grandson is celebrating the end of his elementary school years. I love the sparkle and monochrome look with Blueberry Bushel, one of the new In Colors. I thought the greeting from Another Wonderful Year worked well too.

I just love this card. I love the color combination. I love the Hold on to Hope Stamp Set and coordinating dies. The clean and simple card on the left is very pretty. It does not require a Big Shot and is really pretty simple. You could step up the card by cutting out the stamped images. I guess you could do a simplified version with Paper Snips, but don’t they look beautiful with the detailed die cuts? And then cutting the Flirty Flamingo layer with the Window Box die and adding the detailed cross really makes a huge difference.

I designed, wrote the instructions, and demonstrated this card before the new catalog went live. You can still make this card with current products. The printable directions call for the 2016-2018 In Color Stampin’ Write Markers, but the Flirty Flamingo marker is now part of the Brights Collections. And the ribbon I used has been discontinued, but I listed two others you could use instead.

I think this holder is perfect for a gift card for your local coffee shop. You can make this gift card holder with the Narrow Notecards and Envelopes or make your own cards and envelopes the way I did with the Envelope Punch Board. I used the Coffee Break Designer Series Paper. Use Early Espresso ink and one other color to go with the paper you select. I’m afraid the Coffee Break paper is sold out now, but you could stamp your own images with the coffee bean stamp from the set. My label uses the border stamp from Labels to Love. The greeting from Coffee Café fits perfectly.
