So Grateful There’s You in the World 7-12-14

So Grateful There's You 7-12-14I think Traveler, World Map, and Chalk Talk must have been meant to go together.  And I think the colors go great too!  I used Mossy Meadow, Crumb Cake, and Early Espresso.

I designed this card before Stamp Out Fussy Cutting was born.  I used gold embossing powder to bring out the globe, but I think the cut-out makes it pop much better.  And you don’t have to stick with Whisper White.  You could request a cut out from a different color or just sponge the cut-out to any color you want.

20140703_233234I sponged the train cut-out with Crumb Cake and it looks great!

Blended Bloom 7-12-14

Blended Bloom 7-12-14I love this card layout and I love Blended Bloom. That Scallop Tag Topper punch is really pretty versatile!  And of course, the Blendabilities Markers make coloring so fantastic.  This one is Rich Razzleberry, but I offered the choices of Pumpkin Pie, Cherry Cobbler, and Daffodil Delight and they all looked great!  And look at the matching Very Vintage button and Baker’s Twine!  It’s the Blendabilities Markers!  I do have to confess that I hadn’t been careful when closing my Cherry Cobbler Marker and it’s already dried out!  Word to the wise, check that every pen is closed tight!!!

This is the card that started my push to Stamp Out Fussy Cutting!  Just about every card I’ve seen with this stamp set is cut out, but I hate fussy cutting and some of my customers hate it even more than I do!  (Pat, are you reading this?) So I decided to do the fussy cutting the easy way so I could cut out this flower not only for myself and my customers, but I’ll cut them out for you too!

You’ll see that there are actually 4 layers on this sample, but I really think it’s better without the 2 smaller layers.

Baby Blocks 7-12-14

Baby Block Card 7-12-14I saw Dawn Griffith make a similar card and adored the idea! I just love her designs and videos!

I made a few changes to her design.  Mine is made with Lullaby Designer Series Paper and also uses the matching Crisp Cantaloupe and Pistachio Pudding card stock.  Stamp and punch a ticket from That’s the Ticket and a few hearts punched with the Itty Bitty Accents punch pack.

I shrunk mine down a bit from the one Dawn showed.  This allowed me to fit the card in a standard medium envelope.  It also made the perfect size blocks to use the Postage Stamp and 1″ Square punches.  With the smaller size, I was able to cut this from less than have an 8 1/2″ x 11″ piece of card stock and it already includes the part to overlap.  I also realized that the tops of my blocks are open where Dawn’s open to the front.  My version could easily be turned that way.  I couldn’t tell you which I prefer.

Dear Heart

This Dear Heart photopolymer stamp set almost got past me!  This is the companion to Sweetie Pie.  This is the one you want if you have boys in the family.  Love it!

Tickled Pink Flamingo Lingo

Flamingo LingoI just love those knobby knees on the flamingo in the Flamingo Lingo stamp set!  This card goes together quickly with the Stamp Out Fussy Cutting pieces, the scallop oval punch, and the Bitty Banners Framelits.  And don’t forget that for every Flamingo Lingo stamp set purchased Stampin’ Up! will donate $3 to the Ronald McDonald House Charities.

And you can use either Blushing Bride or Crisp Cantaloupe (not Cantaloupe Crisp) for the lighter peachy color.
