Getting Started Challenge – Bride & Groom 3-28-14

Getting Started - Bride and GroomAnother in my Getting Started Challenge.  Stampin’ Up! has border punches and Edgelits to make beautiful borders, but the challenge uses minimal supplies.  I used the Decorative Label Punch to create this border.

I also show how to stamp just part of the greeting with either a marker or a stamp pad.

Getting Started - Bride and Groom openThis card works well as a gift card holder.  Just cut a slit and finish the ends of the slit with a hole punch.  There is still room for signing the card!

Loving Thoughts Wedding Gift Card Holder

Loving Thoughts Wedding 3-8-14This card looks really quite elegant in Elegant Eggplant, but it would look just as wonderful in so many other colors like Real Red, Coastal Cabana, Garden Green, and Rich Razzleberry, just to name a few.  Change out the greeting and it would make a great birthday or thank you card.  In red or green it make a wonderful Christmas card.

A quick slit turns this card into a gift card holder.  How easy is that?

The Envelope Punch Board makes the box easily.  We lined it with the same Designer Series Paper.  It’s just the right size for a gift card, but we put 3 chocolate hearts inside.  The Spiral Flower Die helps make this 3-D flower pretty easily.  It’s not something you could pop in the mail, but it makes a gorgeous gift to hand to a friend.

I love the Envelope Punch Board!  Sure, it makes at least 63 sized of envelopes.  But it also makes boxes of all sizes, snowmen, and gift card holders.  When you open this one up the gift card starts to life out of its pocket.  It’s become one of the tools that rate a “close at hand” place in my craft corner.

Thank you, Jackie Topa, for the idea!

Double Folded Pocket 2-18-12

A few folds in an 8 1/2″ x 11″ sheet of paper and one cut gives you 2 diagonal pockets that can open for an inside greeting too. We embellished a card for the back pocket and put a gift card in the front one.  Add a bit of embellishment and you’re done!
