Medallion Pillow Box 5-12-12

The die, punch, and card stock used on this card have been retired.  {sniff}  I don’t usually hang on to retired products, but I still have my Pillow Box Die and a small stash of Glossy card stock.

If you don’t have the die, it’s not impossible to make the box.  It just takes a bit more work. The Medallion stamp has been retired too, but you could substitute Daydream Medallions.  The Pillow Box goes together quickly.

This card uses simple slits and folds to add a 3-D pop to cards.  We made them into a birthday cake and on the instructions you’ll see a wedding cake I made with the same method.  I have also seen this technique used to make stacked birthday or Christmas gifts or baby’s building blocks.  It’s all in the way you decorate it.

Mini Cards and Scallop Square Duo Die Box 3-10-12

I saw this card at a regional convention and had to try it.  Score across the Scallop Square at matching scallops, a couple of snips and a bit of tape and you have a cute little box.  Then of course we made the mini cards to go inside.  The Diagonal Plate on the Simply Scored made it easy to make the matching envelopes.  Great for a hostess gift.
