We made this as a special extra workshop.  It took some time, but it wasn’t difficult.  And the results were really amazing!  As a special extra we made a matching box to store this ornament.  Worth the work!

I always say every picture in every catalog is an idea to copy or to use it as a springboard.  They used to call the annual catalog the Idea Book.  I think they should bring that back.  Thanks for the idea, Stampin’ Up!

Road to Happiness Flip Flop Card 6-9-12

I just love these “flip flop” cards!  With a little trick with the cutting plates on the Big Shot, use any die to flip back and forth.  On one side, the car is empty.  But with this 2-step stamp set, you can pack your car with gifts, balloons, or flowers, head off for surfing at the beach, or send a bride and groom off for their honeymoon.

Petite Purse 4-14-12

Aren’t these little purses sweet?  They are just big enough to hold a small treat.  I couldn’t help notice how they look like the Miche Bags my friends and I had recently purchased at a home sales gathering.  So we made them out of Basic Black card stock and added Designer Series Paper with tiny brads just like the Miche Bags.  I suppose you could even use small thin magnets to the Designer Series Paper so you can change the design.  We didn’t carry it that far!

Yep.  You read that right.  Regular heavy-duty household aluminum, glued to card stock for strength, and run through the Big Shot in an embossing folder.  We did the flip flop by getting fancy with the cutting plates on the Big Shot.  Sounds harder than it really was.  Try it!
