So Grateful There’s You in the World 7-12-14

So Grateful There's You 7-12-14I think Traveler, World Map, and Chalk Talk must have been meant to go together.  And I think the colors go great too!  I used Mossy Meadow, Crumb Cake, and Early Espresso.

I designed this card before Stamp Out Fussy Cutting was born.  I used gold embossing powder to bring out the globe, but I think the cut-out makes it pop much better.  And you don’t have to stick with Whisper White.  You could request a cut out from a different color or just sponge the cut-out to any color you want.

Baby Blocks 7-12-14

Baby Block Card 7-12-14I saw Dawn Griffith make a similar card and adored the idea! I just love her designs and videos!

I made a few changes to her design.  Mine is made with Lullaby Designer Series Paper and also uses the matching Crisp Cantaloupe and Pistachio Pudding card stock.  Stamp and punch a ticket from That’s the Ticket and a few hearts punched with the Itty Bitty Accents punch pack.

I shrunk mine down a bit from the one Dawn showed.  This allowed me to fit the card in a standard medium envelope.  It also made the perfect size blocks to use the Postage Stamp and 1″ Square punches.  With the smaller size, I was able to cut this from less than have an 8 1/2″ x 11″ piece of card stock and it already includes the part to overlap.  I also realized that the tops of my blocks are open where Dawn’s open to the front.  My version could easily be turned that way.  I couldn’t tell you which I prefer.

Corner Garden

I just love the delicate cut-out and the soft colors of the card!  The large Corner Garden stamp does most of the work.  The pre-cut Whisper White card stock does most of what’s left.  I stamped with Versamark and added white embossing powder.  A little watercoloring with the Aqua Painter and it’s done!

Check out the detail.  This will be one of my “swaps” for the Stampin’ Up! convention next month.  I’ll be making a lot of cards and then swapping mine with other demonstrators so I can come home with a lot of samples and ideas.

Work of Art 6-14-14

Work of Art Work of Art Inside 6-14-14This stamp set, Work of Art, has been very popular for a very good reason.  It has stamps that can stand alone like the chevron, heart, and dot.  It has 4 great swooshes that can be used with the other stamps like I did in this card, but those swooshes can also add color behind other images.  It also has greetings that can be combined to make phrases and the sentence we used inside the card.  I think the arsty look contrasts nicely with the bold graphics of the Back to Black Designer Series Paper.  The soft colors from the Subtles Collection also contrast nicely with the black and white.  Try this set to make your own work of art.

I found getting the stamps back in the case to be a difficult puzzle.  If you have trouble as well, follow this link to see how I did it.  There is a photo you can slip into the case to make it easy.
