One of my all time most popular YouTube videos is the treat bag below. I made these in 2015 and you can find the original post here. Shelli Gardner, the cofounder of Stampin’ Up! had demonstrated a similar project. I CASE’d it, copied it, but made it my own.Since that time, most of the products I used have retired. I decided to make an updated version of this project… but I didn’t have much in the way of current Halloween themed products. The Gusseted Bags we carry now are smaller and I didn’t have any of them anyway. But my good friend Jeanne gave me a bag and some of spider web pieces cut with the Black Foil Sheets and the die from the Cauldron Framelits. The entire Toil & Trouble Suite of products would be great for this treat bag and the Spooky Sweets Bundle would be great as well. The paper I used instead was Festive Farmhouse Designer Series Paper, a Christmas themed design but I altered the color. I’m pleased with my new version.Halloween is almost here, but you can still make this project. The only essential element of this project is the Gusseted Cellophane Bags. Use a different Designer Series Paper, altering the color as I did. Use ink to make a doily black instead of the spider webs. Or make it for another holiday or event. I’d love to see photos of your version!Click here for the free detailed directions for the Updated Treat Bags. Here are the links for the products I used.
