Stampin’ Up! gives you 4 labels so you can apply the color names in your own language. That gives us a wonderful opportunity to use those extra labels. I use them 4 ways. Can you find more?

Blendabilities Storage
Coming soon to Stampin’ Up! are Blendabilities Markers. These alcohol based markers are wonderful to color with. You will want to stamp with the Memento Ink Pad, not the Stazon. (The Stazon is also alcohol based and will bleed with the alcohol in the markers.) The colors blend beautifully! You can even color on pearls and rhinestones!
Be sure to keep the caps on tight so the markers and Memento pad don’t dry out. And they should be stored flat… so how was I going to store them? I got crafty and made this case.
This is not an easy project, but I think it’s worthwhile.

My Paper Pumpkin News 5-6-14

My Paper Pumpkin has always been an easy way to get started with paper crafting. It worked like a book-of-the-month club but without the pressure. You could always stop at any time or take a break by freezing it for a while. You would start out with the starter kit that came with a clear block that you would use to mount the stamps from each month’s kit. Each month a box would come to you home with everything you need to make one or more projects. The projects my be a card, journal, frameable art, or some other surprise. The projects were designed to be make in just 20-30 minutes. Paper crafting, take me away!
Notice the past-tense verbs? Well, Paper Pumpkin is not going away, but getting even easier! The projects are still a quick surprise with everything you need, but now there is even less stress. You can order prepaid subscriptions.
137858 1 month $19.95
137859 3 months $59.85
137860 6 months $113.70 — save $1 per month
137861 12 months $215.40 — save $2 per month
So you can try it one time, or give it a longer try for 3, 6, or 12 months.
And next month you won’t get the starter kit. You will get the current kit with the latest, greatest project. You will still get a clear block that first time, so don’t worry. The block that will be a new thinner version of our regular clear blocks.

Getting Started – Birthday 3 with soft green background
I love the soft background on this card! Old Olive is really lovely sponged lightly on the Whisper White card stock. The “fussy cutting” really adds to the look. If you have Stampin’ Dimensionals, use them to pop the flowers up for more pizzazz.

Getting Started Sample – Birthday 3
So busy!!!

I got to attend the first (annual?) Catalog Premiere in Long Beach on Monday. So exciting! This event was live in Long Beach, but played simultaneously in 39 theaters around the country. The 7,000 or so demonstrators saw some of the new products in the catalog that goes live June 2nd. We all went home with a catalog and one of the new stamp sets. A few lucky people won other products from the Prize Patrol. Then after the recording, the Long Beach event continued with “a few of our favorite things” style give away. We all received a products from each of the presenters! We went home with lots of goodies and a box of catalogs to share with our customers.
So since that, I’ve been pouring through the catalog. I have finished my spreadsheet so I can make all those labels and stickers for the products. I’ve seen the new In Colors (deep, rich tones). I’ve made my initial wish list… it’s long! I have placed my pre-order and my sneak peak products are on their way!
You know there are a lot of wonderful new stamp sets. Some of my favorite stamps and products have returned from this year’s mini catalogs. There’s a great new adhesive I am over-joyed about. There are new coloring tools I can’t wait to try. The wheels are gone, but there are new ways to get those nice borders. There are some wonderful new tools for custom lettering. There are some great new punches and Big Shot accessories. There are a lot of kits and bundles. Stampin’ Up! has teamed up with Becky Higgins to carry Project Life products for quick and easy memory keeping and scrapbooking. It’s all so exciting!
I’m disappointed that there aren’t Christmas stamps, but the Holiday Catalog will be here before we know it.
Just let me know you want a catalog. I will give my current customers can pick up a catalog from me free. If you are not one of my current customers, you can shop online and/or buy a catalog on June 2nd for $5.
Happy new (Stampin’ Up!) year!
