Pop-Up Blocks Thank You

I saw Lisa Curcio demonstrate a card with this fancy fold  and I thought I’d give it a try. It really is fancy, but not terribly difficult. I love that it stands up by itself. I had planned this card, and then a few days later made cards for our church ministry, not realizing that the Soft Succulent Country Gingham Designer Series Paper that we used was the same paper as the Sweet Sorbet Country Gingham Designer Series Paper that I planned to use for my thank you cards and to record for this video. I used every scrap I had left, plus the similar 22-24 In Color Designer Series Paper. I show how I made my own printed paper when I ran out.

Dainty Delight Fancy Fold

This card is absolutely to die for! The Dainty Delight Bundle truly is dainty and delightful! I used the Dainty Flowers Designer Series Paper that was so very delightful that it was gone before Sale-a-Bration was over!  I knew this video would be coming out after the sale, so I showed in the video how to use “mirror stamping” to get a very similar look of the oval flowers with the stamp set. It’s another one of those techniques you can do with the Stamparatus.

The numbers in the left column are my own numbers. I put the colors in the order of when they were first available. Usually there are multiple colors added at one time, so I put them in alphabetical order. Perhaps I should have reversed that, going Z to A because YoYo Yellow has is #1 and Almost Amethyst is #48. And then I realized that Basic Brown was only an ink color and never a card stock color, so #54 shouldn’t really be there. Never-the-less, the numbering system has been helpful for me to keep track of the color order, especially as more colors are added.

Colors may not be precisely identical to Stampin’ Up! colors.

Note: It’s easy to put a few colors in spectrum order. Stampin’ Up! generally lists the color families in spectrum order in the catalog on the page for all the card stock, ink pads, Stampin’ Blends, etc. But when you add all the 54 colors with all the tints and shades, it gets much trickier! I have tried to do it with all the Stampin’ Up! colors ever and every time I look at it, I think I need to switch things around. I pulled out the retired colors from this full spectrum order and it does not quite agree with my list of current colors in spectrum order. So unless someone comes up with a scientific or mathematical system, I’m leaving it the way it is.

Two-Tone Flora

The full card-size die in this bundle is exquisite! I used the Fine Shimmer Paper which is gorgeous and it’s so easy to work with! I don’t get a pile of glitter on my desk when I work with it and it doesn’t seem to dull the blade on my Stampin’ Trimmer. But I also made this same card with the Fancy Flora Designer Series Paper. Honestly, I can’t decide which one I like better! And the Go-To Greetings stamp set really is my go-to greetings stamp set! Be sure to buy that!
