Envelope Punch Board Box Chart

Envelope Punch Board Boxes

Want to make a custom box?  All these boxes were based on the smallest envelope listed on the chart on the Envelope Punch Board.  I just added increments of 1/4″ up to 7″ for the height of the box.  I was experimenting to see how much I would need to add to get the thickness (or height) I wanted.  The ones made with Melon Mambo can be made with 8 1/2″ X 11″ card stock.   For the Basic Gray ones, you’ll need to use 12″ x 12″ card stock.

Use this chart to find what to add to your dimensions for a particular height.  There are also a few extra tips.

Box in a Card 2-8-14

Box in a Card? Card in a Box?  Either way, this project is fun!  It fits in a standard medium envelope.  When you take the card out of the envelope it pops into a box, open with hearts floating up.  I showed one with balloons too.

I love the Decorative Dots Embossing Folder!  You can’t buy it…  at least not now.  But you can get it FREE during Sale-a-bration through March 31, 2014!  Or you can wait and pay your hard-earned money when the next annual catalog comes out in June.

We inked the folder with a brayer to color the background of the embossing.  This can be done with any folder.  The banner reads “You make me happy.”  This card/box makes me happy!

Petite Petals Treat Holder 2-8-14

So quick and so elegant!  The Tag Topper Punch makes them quick and easy.  We used the same gold embossing powder, gold foil, sequins, and Washi Tape on all of them, but everyone made them in different colors of card stock.  They all looked great!  I think they would look great in Real Red or really any dark color.  I can see making hundreds of these for wedding or party favors.

The Night of Navy sample has a wider bottom and they fit a Hershey’s Nuggets just right.  Even better, the ones with Almonds come in a matching gold wrapper!

The Envelope Punch Board makes the box easily.  We lined it with the same Designer Series Paper.  It’s just the right size for a gift card, but we put 3 chocolate hearts inside.  The Spiral Flower Die helps make this 3-D flower pretty easily.  It’s not something you could pop in the mail, but it makes a gorgeous gift to hand to a friend.

So easy, yet so wonderful!  Yep.  It’s aluminum flashing again.  Don’t get tempted by the aluminum shingles which are just the right size.  You’ll need the roll of flashing.  The dies cut it just fine.  It works great with the embossing folders.  If you need to make hundreds of them, you may need to replace your folder eventually.  I made a couple dozen of these ornaments and my customers made them too.  My folder is just fine!

This was an outright copy of Jackie Topa’s snowman.  It was made with the Envelope Punch Board!  It even used the scraps from punching to make the mouth and eyes.  Jackie used the tiny ornament punch for the nose.  Since I don’t own that set of punches, I searched for a substitute.  What could I make a carrot with?  I found the tail feathers of the Bird Builder Punch made a pretty good carrot.
