Waterfall Card 11-10-12

Waterfall CardThis card doesn’t show well in a still shot.  It really needs a video.  When you pull the ribbon flaps flip over, one by one.  There is a tree on each panel and each tree is a little more decorated.  I’d seen the technique and was eager to try it.  Worked great!

I just love these “flip flop” cards!  With a little trick with the cutting plates on the Big Shot, use any die to flip back and forth.  On one side, the car is empty.  But with this 2-step stamp set, you can pack your car with gifts, balloons, or flowers, head off for surfing at the beach, or send a bride and groom off for their honeymoon.

Double Twist Easel Card 5-12-12

Double Twist Easel CardThis card folds flat, but has 2 panels that can be tipped up and propped open.  It needs an image that without a definite top so the bottom image looks OK upside down, but it looks great sitting on display.

This card uses simple slits and folds to add a 3-D pop to cards.  We made them into a birthday cake and on the instructions you’ll see a wedding cake I made with the same method.  I have also seen this technique used to make stacked birthday or Christmas gifts or baby’s building blocks.  It’s all in the way you decorate it.
