Petite Petals Treat Holder 2-8-14

Scallop Tag Topper Treat Holder 2-8-13

So quick and so elegant!  The Tag Topper Punch makes them quick and easy.  We used the same gold embossing powder, gold foil, sequins, and Washi Tape on all of them, but everyone made them in different colors of card stock.  They all looked great!  I think they would look great in Real Red or really any dark color.  I can see making hundreds of these for wedding or party favors.

The Night of Navy sample has a wider bottom and they fit a Hershey’s Nuggets just right.  Even better, the ones with Almonds come in a matching gold wrapper!

The Envelope Punch Board makes the box easily.  We lined it with the same Designer Series Paper.  It’s just the right size for a gift card, but we put 3 chocolate hearts inside.  The Spiral Flower Die helps make this 3-D flower pretty easily.  It’s not something you could pop in the mail, but it makes a gorgeous gift to hand to a friend.

Springtime Hello with Hexagon Hive 1-11-14

Springtime Hello Card
Springtime Hello Card 1-11-14

What a sweet card!  It must be honey from bee that makes it so sweet.   The Hexagon Hive Thinlit makes it easy.  Tip:  Use wax paper from the kitchen between the card stock and the die so the pieces will pop out.  Use the cut out hexagons to decorate this card or another one.  The hexagon punch works well to show off the flower from the Springtime Hello stamp set.

This is another one of those thrifty cards using every little bit of paper.  The Designer Series Paper uses measurements evenly divided by 12, the dimensions of the paper.  The Tangerine Tango is also just about 1/8′ of a sheet of card stock.  The 2 poppies that are cut out came from the portion hidden by the Whisper White layer.  There was even enough to cut out slivers with the Word Window Punch to frame the greeting.  The Whisper White is just a bit smaller than that, but the left-over strip is used for the greeting cut with the Word Window Punch.  If you decide to use the Decorative Label Punch for the greeting instead, you can take it from a layer inside the card and then replace that with a punch from the Tangerine Tango.

And isn’t this stamp set wonderful?  I sure hope this gets carried over into the new annual catalog!  I think it’s a keeper!

Eye-Catching Ikat

Eye-Catching Ikat Thank You
Eye-Catching Ikat Thank You 12-7-13

I had to look up Ikat and listen to how to pronounce it.  According to the Merriam-Webster site, it’s \ˈē-ˌkät\  It’s not I catch, but more like he caught! It refers to a way of weaving the color into fabrics.  The designs are usually repeating and that is so easy to do with these clear stamps!

I love the photopolymer stamp sets.  They are clear through and through and stick nicely to the blocks. Most of the images have not quite been my cup of tea, but I like the way the stamps work a lot.

A few people have reported that the ink doesn’t stay on the stamp.  I had no problem, but if you do, I’d suggest cleaning them with soapy water or even just using an eraser to rough up the stamping surface just a bit.  I suspect there may be oil residue from the production of the stamps.  Once that oil is gone I think you’ll love these stamps as much as I do.  I have heard rumors they may have a presence in the annual catalog that comes out June 1st, 2014.

Got Mistletoe? Tag or Ornament 12-7-13

So easy, yet so wonderful!  Yep.  It’s aluminum flashing again.  Don’t get tempted by the aluminum shingles which are just the right size.  You’ll need the roll of flashing.  The dies cut it just fine.  It works great with the embossing folders.  If you need to make hundreds of them, you may need to replace your folder eventually.  I made a couple dozen of these ornaments and my customers made them too.  My folder is just fine!
