News from Stampin’ Up!

Just wanted you to know…

The Retiring list will be available at noon on April 15th. That’s not news, but there were some announcements made to demonstrators today that are news.

Due to challenges with the supplier, the Stampin’ Trimmer will be on the retiring list. Stampin’ Up! does not yet have a replacement. There will be a gap before there is a new Stampin’ Up! trimmer. In the meantime, they have what would normally be a 6 month supply of replacement blades. They anticipate a high demand. They will continue to get shipments until September. Starting on April 15th, the limit for the blades will increase from three to six sets. During this transition, there will likely be times between shipments when the blades will not be orderable. I have loved my trimmer and really don’t want to see it go away. But I have noticed the blades haven’t lasted as long. I can’t wait to see what the new one will be like. I’m expecting the new one to be at least as wonderful.

The Big Shot Die Cutting Machine will also be retiring, along will all the platforms. Again, there will be something new coming in the future, but there will not be a replacement in this new 2019-2020 annual catalog coming out in June. I appreciate that Stampin’ Up! has a high standard and is not rushing something to market. There will be dies and embossing folders in the new catalog. They will be made by a new supplier. There will be some design changes. You will continue to be able to use the new dies and folders with the Big Shot you may own and the new machine (when it comes) will still be able to work with the dies and folders you have now. Stampin’ Up! will be working directly with the new manufacturer instead of through the previous company, so there is great potential for getting new ideas implemented quicker.

Also announced, there will some price changes. The good news is it appears the only ink and card stock color changes will be with the retiring 2017-2019 In Colors and the new 2019-2021 In Colors. The card stock packs will go up from $8.50 to $8.75. Stampin Mist and the Stampin’ Scrub, Vellum, the VersaMark Pad, Grid Paper, Embossing Powders, Foil Sheets, and the Clear, Whisper White, and Very Vanilla Medium Envelopes will all be going up a bit. There may be one or two other items I missed, but that’s most of it. Not too bad. I was excited to see Stampin Mist and the Stampin’ Scrub on that list because I know they will be in the new catalog.

I do have an appointment at the time the Retiring List will be posted, but I will make that available as soon as I can. There may be a rush on these retiring products. I wanted to share this information with you so you can be prepared.
