I enjoyed making the Butterfly Brilliance Card and decided to use the same fun fold card design. It’s one of those layouts that looks fancy, but it’s really not difficult to do. I decided to simplify the design a bit more for this card. First, I eliminated the extra opening. It was like a second card inside. But the biggest difference is that I placed the Designer Series Paper vertically on each panel. On the Butterfly Brilliance card, I had 13 separate pieces of the patterned paper. On this card I used just 3.
I also made a change between the card shown here and the one I made in the video. I just lowered the pop-out panels. It’s a simple change, but I like the final result a lot better. What do you think? The directions are written with the final changes.
I used Stampin’ Blends to color the puffins, but you could easily use Stampin’ Write Markers, Watercolor Pencils, or even just a Blender Pen and pick up some color from stamp pads. There is just a tiny bit of coloring. Use what you have!
And if you don’t have a Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine and you’re not ready to invest in that yet, you can just cut those Poppy Parade pieces to 3″ x 1 3/4″ rectangles.
