I was so excited about making the strawberries, I had to show you immediately. But here is the basket to hold those lovely berries. We have strawberry fields all around, here in Ventura County in southern California. And our groundcover in our yard is ornamental strawberries, so I see little white flowers just like this every spring. Just makes me smile.

My consultant, Andrea, here in Santa Maria area (we’re also surrounded by strawberry fields’!) lent me her dies to make these cute strawberry baskets for a strawberry social coming up this Tues. for the Central Coast Literacy Council volunteers and dignitaries. I volunteered to make these for table decorations. My fingers are so sticky! I’m hoping the finished product will cover up some of the little flaws in the basket! lol. I have yet to put together the strawberries!
