The Home Sweet Home Thinlits make a very cute little house with decorations for a spooky house, a dog house, or a Christmas gingerbread house. You can use just the front of the house from the set, but I wanted a 3-D house to fold flat and fit in an envelope. I saw one “Crafted by Helen.” Here’s my version.

Sandy, from Australia, was inspired by this project. She sent me her versions. She found the dies just as they were discontinued and did not get the stamp set. But aren’t here little houses cute?

Thank you for posting the directions and a video for your cute 3-D house that folds flat for mailing! I just got the dies from the clearance rack and then searched online to see what people had done with them. I’m a librarian, and I do a craft program with kids. I’ve been looking for Christmas ideas, and I may have the kids make gingerbread house cards following your design. As I’ve made my first sample house to see if it will work for my program, I’ve found that if you push the sides in instead of pulling them out, you can make the fence pieces longer and still mail it in a standard card-sized envelope.
Thanks so much for sharing your idea!
What a great idea, Luann! I’m sure your students will have a wonderful time making their houses.
