Touches of Texture

The watercolor technique is perfect with the Touches of Texture stamp set. I used the colors in the Garden Impressions Designer Series Paper. I think this card would work for just about any event and the sentiments in Another Wonderful year give you lots of options.

I designed this card with the new stamper in mind, but I couldn’t help myself. I had to add a bit more texture with the Subtle Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing folder. The pattern is so subtle, it’s difficult to photograph. Stampin’ Up! used to sell plain and textured card stock and this folder adds a similar texture. Of course, using the embossing folder means you will need a Big Shot, something the new stamper may not own. You could certainly use Watercolor Paper instead of the regular Whisper White Card Stock I used. That would give you the texture without the Big Shot.
