Forever Fern Sympathy

I’m on vacation, but I did pack some crafting supplies. I knew I needed to plan my projects for the SIP Together class next Saturday, my sister and sister-in-law wanted to plan some crafting time, and I knew I needed at least four birthday cards. We drove, so that allowed me a bit more freedom to bring plenty.

Here’s what I brought… OK, maybe I brought a few more items than this.

I’m so glad I had all that with me! I needed a sympathy card. Charming Sentiments and Inspired Thoughts include a wide variety of greetings and Forever Fern.

Decorative Borders

I think this card is so elegant, but it’s also very quick and easy! I used Watercolor Pencil and just one ink pad. The “Last Chance Products” list just came out and I’m sorry to say the Decorative Borders stamp set is on that list. Grab it fast before it’s gone! Thankfully, everything else will still be available in the new catalog that launches May 2, 2023. Phew!

You do not need any fancy tools for this card. You can do it!

Petal Park Fun Fold

I have fallen in love with this fun fold! It is so very easy, plus it stands on display and has plenty of room to write a note. This month I’ve been sharing ways to color. I used the Blender Brushes for this card. I used the Brushstroke Specialty Paper for the inspiration for the color combination, though I don’t own any of that paper. I think it would look lovely on this card!

Pop-Up Blocks Thank You

I saw Lisa Curcio demonstrate a card with this fancy fold  and I thought I’d give it a try. It really is fancy, but not terribly difficult. I love that it stands up by itself. I had planned this card, and then a few days later made cards for our church ministry, not realizing that the Soft Succulent Country Gingham Designer Series Paper that we used was the same paper as the Sweet Sorbet Country Gingham Designer Series Paper that I planned to use for my thank you cards and to record for this video. I used every scrap I had left, plus the similar 22-24 In Color Designer Series Paper. I show how I made my own printed paper when I ran out.
