Elevate a simple white gift bag with a lovely tag. Use the (retired) Embossed Treat Bags, if you have them or use another gift bag or box. You can also create your own from an envelope. You’ll see how to do that in the video. Use the retired Pale Papaya and Soft Suede or swap for the current Calypso Coral and Pecan Pie.
You’ll want to order these products from my online store at Stampin’ Up! Click “Add All to the Cart” button. Don’t worry, you will be able to take things out of the cart or add more, if you’d like.
I usually use 8 1/2″ x 11″ and it’s stored in wooden file drawers on wheels. I store it alphabetically. The file tabs have the color name printed on clear labels stuck on pieces of that color card stock. I’ve been trying to design cards to make the best use of the paper for fewer scraps and try to use the scraps whenever I can.
Card Stock Sampler: Any punch or die will do. Punch each color you own and apply the label. Punch a small hole at the same location on each piece. Keep them on a key ring and hang nearby. If you want to match a color or see what colors look great together, just reach for your sampler. You could also use these labels for your card stock storage. I am using the bottom inch to label my Ink Pad Storage by Stampin’ Up!
Be sure to download the files and then print them for a better fit.
Designer Series Paper Sampler
Print the DSP Sampler files on white card stock and then cut them up. Cut samples of your Designer Series Paper and add a key ring. Print the DSP Labels for your tabs if you store your DSP in folders.
21-22 DSP Quarter Sheet Sampler Print one side at a time on Basic White card stock. Cut to 5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″. Add snips of DSP for a convenient reference.
21-22 DSP Sampler Dividers Print on Basic White card stock. Cut into rectangles and punch holes at the dot. Add 2″ x 3″ pieces of DSP.
22-23 Stampin’ Spots Labels in English, French, & German Print 2 copies. I print on card stock. Adhere one to the top and one to the bottom.
22-23 Stampin Spots Storage This is an experiment. You can stack Stampin’ Spots, but I like having the organized as if on a palette. I printed the storage cards and taped them to cardboard. I added a layer of Window Sheet. Then I put Velcro dots under the Stampin’ Spots and on the storage card. If you try them too, please let me know what you think.
20-21 Stampin’ Spots Labels in English, French, and German for all 50 colors plus blanks to make your own for retired colors. Suggestion: Print two so you can put one label on the bottom and one on the top.
22-23 Stampin’ Blends Labels Print. “Laminate” with packing tape, if desired. Punch with 3/8″ circle punch (not a Stampin’ Up! product). Adhere to both ends of each Stampin’ Blend marker with a Mini Glue Dot.

I keep my Sponge Daubers organized in this box. Then just print out the file and fold it at the top line of the color box. Cut around the color box through both layers. Adhere the layers together and adhere to the top of the box. The top right dauber will match the top right color, Real Red.
Be sure to store your daubers with the sponge side down so they don’t color your chart.
22-23 Sponge Dauber Box insert Print on card stock. Fold. Adhere to the inside lid of a sponge dauber box. There are 40 sections to fit the sponge daubers, so no room for the In Colors. I use a dauber for a similar color and daub off as much extra ink as I can.
(See the video on AutoCorrect and RGB Codes below for further explanation.)
The Dauber Box charts can also be used to compare the older colors. Be mindful though… the colors may not be true. Computers vary in the way they show colors and printers often print differently than what the computer shows.
I keep this chart posted nearby. Have you ever typed in Word and the computer fixes your typos? You can add to that list! In Word 2010, go to Options> Proofing> AutoCorrect Options to add these corrections. Now when I type “MMAM” my computer automatically changes it to Melon Mambo and if I type “SU” it changes it to Stampin’ Up! You’ll see those AutoCorrect codes on the chart. I’ve also got the RGB codes so if I want to color a shape or text to match Stampin’ Up! colors I just go to More Colors and Custom Colors and enter those RGB codes. I’ve added the HEX codes this year too. Using custom colors can be quite cumbersome, but if you’re just using a few they will show up as recent colors.
2022 Color Chart with RGB and AutoCorrect I just found out Stampin’ Up! does not want us to provide the Hex codes to our customers. I’m hoping it’s OK to provide the RGB colors since I was able to get them with Adobe Photoshop.
I am working on the new Card Stock Samplers, but they are not quite ready. I will also have a few new sets of Taggers, but I need to get my hands on the dies first. Check back in a week or two for those.

Color Coach from Stampin’ Up! with suggested color combinations
Multipurpose Liquid Glue is a wonderful adhesive! It has two tips. The Round Tip is on the flat end of the bottle and it’s designed to spread glue on larger areas. The Pen Tip is on the pointed end and can place a small dot or thin line of glue. I really only use the Pen Tip.
The glue dries enough to hold quickly. I only really need to hold the pieces in place a few seconds unless I’m working on a 3D project. The glue is quite thick.
If I set the glue bottle down on the flat end, the glue slowly moves to the flat end. When I pick it up, the glue takes its time slowly moving toward the pointed end. It’s tempting to shake and squeeze it until the glue finally fills the Pen Tip. But then, it’s likely to start coming out under the pressure I’ve applied by squeezing. It keeps flowing out and I have too much glue.
You just need a tiny little line or two or even four or five tiny dots of glue to hold layers of card stock to a card. It’s very easy to use too much glue. When you use too much, it oozes out.
The great thing about the glue is that it stays sticky when it’s dry. The bad thing about the glue is that it stays sticky when it’s dry.
The solution is simple. Never set the glue bottle down on the flat side of the bottle. I try not to even set it down on the side of the bottle. I have used little jars or candle holders, and they work great. But perhaps you’ve noticed when you watch my videos, that it’s noisy when I pick the glue up or set it back in the glass holders.
This project is the perfect solution for all of that, plus it fits the glue bottles nicely and it looks nice on my desk.
If you don’t use the Multipurpose Glue (You need to try it! It’s wonderful!!!), you can use this little holder for pens and pencils, cotton swabs, make-up brushes, and probably a million things.
I did use quite a few retiring products. You can substitute any Designer Series Paper and decorations that are no larger than 2″. You do not NEED the Layering Circles Dies. Just glue your big washer on the paper and cut about 1/2″ or more around the washer.
You will want to go to your local hardware store for some of the items you’ll need:
1” PVC Schedule 40 Coupling from the plumbing department
⅜” x 2” Fender Washer from the hardware department, in with the bolts
Liquid Nails Glue where you find other adhesives. It’s near the paint department at our local big box store.
Cork Contact Paper. If you can’t find it at the hardware store it’s available on Amazon. You could also substitute felt.
You’ll want to order these products from my online store at Stampin’ Up! Click “Add All to the Cart” button. Don’t worry, you will be able to take things out of the cart or add more, if you’d like.
One of the best things about Stampin’ Up! is the coordination with our Classic Stampin’ Pads®, Stampin’ Write Markers, the card stock, the Designer Series Paper, and the ribbons and other embellishments! You can help your stamp pads and markers last for a very long time if you get the ink refills. I always buy the ink refill when I buy the stamp pads.
Classic Stampin’ Ink Refill™, Re-inker, refill ink… It’s known by many names.
Refill ink is fantastic for refilling stamp pads and so much more!
Color card stock directly from ink pad to paper
Use just like watercolors for painting
Add a few drops in a Spritzer with water or alcohol to spray color with or without a decorative mask
Fill a plate with shaving cream (foamy) and add a few drops of ink. Swirl with a stirring stick or spoon. Press card stock into it for a marbled pattern. Sample project
Fill uninked Stampin’ Spots to make your own mini stamp pads.
Put a drop on a piece of plastic and pick up some of the ink with a Blender Pen
You can refill the Stampin’ Write Markers too!
This video shows how to refill the ink pads and the Stampin’ Write Markers. And here is a link for those replacement brush tips.
If you’re quick, you may still be able to buy the retiring colors, but those go pretty quickly! You will need to wait until May 2nd to buy products in those new lovely colors (or join now to buy them today) but here is a link for all the ink refills available now. Don’t worry, you will be able to take things out of the cart or add more, if you’d like.
