September-December Mini Catalog is Live!

  It’s here! You can now shop for the wonderful new products in this catalog!

There are so many wonderful new products!!! Share your favorites in the comments.

And here are my usual resources. I prepare these in advance so the will be ready for you as soon as the catalog goes live. For the case inserts (that have the images) I need to wait until the online store is live to finish and upload those. If nothing happens when you click the name of those products, please check back later today or tomorrow.

I’ll also be copying these to the separate pages for Stamp Case Slips, Product Labels, Large Labels, and Case Inserts. Again, this has to be done once the catalog is live, so check back later.

Case inserts for standard stamp cases are shown in blue and 6″ x 6″ are in red. You can order standard cases from Stampin’ Up! here. If you have the wider cases, you can use the standard case inserts in the wider cases. Just cut the insert wider. You can put the 6″ x 6″ inserts in my heavy duty recloseable bags or in boxes from ClearBags.

Happy for You Slide & Lock

I saw this fun “Slide & Lock” fancy fold card done by several people. I’m not sure who to credit for the layout. It’s basically a gate-fold card with a centered layer. Usually the layer is stuck to the left side, but this one locks the card closed. To open the card, you slide the layer up.

I also used a fun splatter technique that makes a beautiful background! On the video I didn’t give enough time for the splatter to dry on its own, so the ink didn’t have a chance to move all the way, leaving the white areas seen on this image. I needed to be more patient!!!

Everyday Magic

This is the card that I sent out as a thank you card last month. I wanted to use the Stargazing Designer Series Paper even though I did not purchase the stamp set. I was drawn to some of the specialty papers.  I thought the greeting from Something Fancy was perfect.

Sheltered in Love

My friend Karen and I make cards for some people at church that need some extra encouragement. We usually make about 28 cards in a few hours, so it’s helpful to be fairly quick. Since they go to men and women, we try not to make them too flowery. We were both please how quickly these went together!

Nature’s Artistic Prints

You can make this card with lots of texture and rich colors! Embossing Paste provides the background. Since embossing paste dries pretty quickly when you’re making  the card. In fact, I keep a dish with an inch or so of water nearby to drop my tools in as soon as I’m done. Then you’ll want to clean your tools as soon as possible.

I assumed my tub wouldn’t be usable for long. I hadn’t used it in a while, so when I was preparing for a project, I bought a new tub. Before I used it though, I found my tub from 2018 and was shocked to find it still good! It comes with a foam layer in the lid and a foil seal and then it’s in a resealable bag. I kept both those layers in the lid and the tub in the bag. I admit the top was a little stiff and I scraped that off. The part underneath worked just fine! I finished the old tub and started the new. For what it’s worth, before I closed up the tub this time, I smoothed the surface as much as possible to reduce the contact with air.
